      The State Key Laboratory of Physical Chemistry of Solid Surfaces (Xiamen University) takes pleasure to invite you to participate in the Pre-symposium of 14th International Congress on Catalysis: Hydrocarbon Selective Oxidation and Syngas Conversion Catalysis, which will be held in the beautiful seaside city, Xiamen on July 8-11, 2008. The symposium will focus on the selective oxidation and syngas conversion catalysis. Selective oxidation and syngas conversion are two key areas in catalysis and in chemical science. Both areas are playing very important roles in the current chemical industry and are also the key areas for solving energy and environmental problems for the future. The aim of this symposium is to bring together outstanding scientists and young researchers working in these fields to communicate new results and ideas and to discuss the state-of-the-art and the future of these important research fields.
