The China-Japan Symposium on Selective Oxidation Catalysis is organized by the State Key Laboratory of Physical Chemistry of Solid Surfaces (PCOSS) at Xiamen University as the 5th of the series of Xiamen Workshops on Surface Science. Selective oxidation is a key area in catalysis and in chemical science. Selective oxidation catalysis is also playing very important roles in the current chemical industry. The aim of this symposium is to bring together outstanding scientists and young researchers working in the field of selective oxidation catalysis from Japan and China to communicate new results and ideas and to discuss the state-of-the-art and the future of this important research area.
